How do I change the oil in my 2001 Hyundai Accent GL?
Ok, I've done oil changes before, I just need to know if there's anything special with the accent, do I need any special nylon washers or can I pop the drain plug, drain it, put on a new filter and refill. Any online walkthroughs?
Also, I'm think of using High Mileage motor oil 5W30 from GTX. My car has almost 240K (km). Any problems with this oil for my car? And can I use a regular FRAM filter or is there a recommended filter for my li'l accent?

How much are the alloy crush gaskets, is it the same as a crush washer, and can I use a nylon washer instead?
This is the first time I'm changing oil on a Hyundai, and I can't locate the oil filter, is it under the valve cover on the top of the engine?
Your Hyundai drain plug should have an alloy crush gasket on it. This is a one time use gasket to be changed every oil change. Your filter although available aftermarket should be replaced with a Hyundai filter. The Hyundai filter has a check valve in it to prevent leak down while the car isn't running, you will hear ticking noise for a few seconds after start up with aftermarket filters, this is while the lifters are getting pumped up.
