How soon after joining the Air Force can I start college classes again?
I am looking into starting some online courses to finish my degree while in the Air Force. I was just wondering how soon after basic and tech school will they allow me to start the tuition assistance program?
About 6 months after you graduate Tech School.
You have to have your 5 level and complete your CDC's before you can use tuition assistance.
That takes about 6 months in most AFSC's
2. I don't know where the 2 1/2 years from the previous answer comes from.
3. Shift workers, actually have a better chance of taking college, than day shift workers do.
Especially 3rd shift workers ( midnight to 8 am ) because they can take class's at a university during the mornings or at the base education office in the evenings.
4. Its pretty easy to earn 60 plus semester hours on a 4 year enlistment, you can earn more, if you really push yourself, but then if you do that, all you will be doing is work, school and sleep.
