What equipment should Rentals Stores stock for concrete and asphalt surface preparation?
What's the difference? How can rental businesses choose the right machines?
Rental companies should select a scarifier based on performance, versatility, reputation and price. Suppliers that are direct domestic manufacturers and specialize in scarifiers and surface preparation equipment are the most reliable and responsive. A multi-purpose machine that serves most or all of a customer's surface preparation requirements would be a good choice.
What types of concrete preparation equipment does your company offer?
SMITH Manufacturing Company manufactures multi-purpose equipment designed to either grind, scarify, scabble, strip, shotblast, erase, eradicate and plane using just one machine. Select the SPS10 as an upright "drum assisted" manual or as a self-propelled ride-on. You can also outfit the SPS10 with a 13HP Honda Gas or 7.5 HP Electric motor.
In addition to the versatile SPS10, SMITH directly manufactures other size scarifiers designed for every budget and surface preparation or line erasing job from handheld, walk behind, self propel and ride-ons. What's the right mix of concrete prep equipment a rental business should have and what factors should they take into account when selecting machines for their inventory?
Rental companies should determine the markets they serve. Rental companies can work together with the manufacturer of the equipment to promote their store and drive traffic to their door. The Rental Company needs to promote good surface preparation practices and inform the customer that a good bond is best achieved when the surface is first prepped with a scarifier. Cold working of copper will harden the material, increase stiffness and brittleness so if this is not advantageous to the end product it must be annealed after drawing to enable further processing.Cold work generates dislocations in the crystalline structure that serve as obstacles to the movement of the crystals. In fact, cold working generates so many dislocations that the configuration is referred to as a "forest of dislocation". Thus, although dislocations cause a metal to be malleable, the increase in density of dislocations makes it more difficult to deform the metal, which therefore becomes harder.
Foaming agent use with PP - benefits of foamed materials are their good mechanical rigidity at low specific gravity, thermal and acoustic insulation, cushioning against mechanical shock and a significant contribution to source reduction in raw material usage. Foamed PP offers wide mechanical property range, low weight, heat stability and good chemical resistance.
