I live in a log cabin...it smells musty- my friends say I smell like the cabin.?
Anyone know a trick to get the smell out? It is the logs I know...I have a wood burning stove- I have burned cedar...I have loads of candles...I spray Lysol...I spray perfume- nothing works- I smell like a wet log...stop laughing it is so not funny...well it is a little.
Some Febrize is more likely to neutralize the log scent from soft furnishings--upholstery, rugs, draperies.
Buy some inexpensive coffee beans, grind them at home and leave them around the cabin in open saucers. Stir them every few days until you can no longer smell the coffee aroma. The grounds tend to absorb odor. (This worked getting the cigarette smell out of an inherited chest.)
A little baking soda in with the rinse water when you wash your clothes will help get the log smell out of them.
