How to watch Doctor Who? Help fellow geeks!?
Im a huge fan of Battlestar and Star Trek, but everytime im at a comic shop or at Comic-Con everyone is talking about it, all I know is the commercials look pretty damn cool with those crazy aliens and all. So now I wanna get into it and all wikipedia has is information on how the series has been off and on since the original 60's version. Im aware of the comics, he's a time traveler, has a trench and scarf, blah blah, but can I get into the show by starting at the 2003 series? or can i just jump into episodes? And whats all this fuss about all the doctors? Is it referring to the actors? All this shit makes me NOT want to watch it.
Wrong answer. Geeks are hangin out in the comics more than drama television.
Guys, he knows what the series is about, he knows what the Doctor is capable of doing, and he knows about the details. He just wants to know if he can get into the series starting at a later season...
And yes you can. The recent season with David Tennant as the Doctor, I believe, is on DVD. All seasons. My family was just watching the current season of Doctor Who for three weeks straight, all from rental seasons of the show!
