Wood pecker problems!!!?
Wood peckers have been pecking away at the side of my house. What can I do or put on the wood siding to detour them? Any and ALL answers will be appreciated. Thanks
Temporarily tack up something like netting, or strips from a black plastic trashbag; or hang aluminum foil pie plates up so they can spin in the breeze and frighten the woodpeckers. They will clear out if you make them nervous. They are a protected species, so don't harm them. Then patch and paint or stain the holes once they are gone. Check carefully to be sure you don't have an infestation of carpenter ants or bees, as the woodpeckers may be trying to tell you something!
