I've been wanting a new fishing rod, so today when I was at Walmart I was looking around, and I bought an Abu Garcia Cardinal "Tournament Grade" 6'6" medium-light spinning rod for 32 dollars. I really like the feel of the rod, it seems to be light and flexible. It is a one piece rod, which I've never had before, but I have heard one piece rods have better feel to them than 2 pieces and are better for methods like jigging.
Anyway, I've been trying to find information on this rod online, but I can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know anything about this rod? I'm just trying to figure out of it was a good purchase. Thanks!
Abu rods aren't bad at all, i have a few of their boat rods for fishing for halibut in Alaska and they haven't let me down, i must also mention that abu garcia and mitchell are the same company. The rod you bough for the price is fine, for $32 it was a fair price, if you like the rod then that's all that matters, some people might not like them but so what if they don't. I personally have found abu rods to be pretty good rods for the price, so get out there and enjoy it.
