Masonry Table

Frameless Shower Door
Installation of a typical frameless shower door and panel for the do-it-yourselfer
You will need: 3/8 door and panel, hinges, hinges screws, handle bottom sweep and strike seal
Drill / screw gun ,level, wood shims, 3/16" steel drill bit, 3/16" masonry drill bit for hardened tile you may need a spear bit, 3/16" plastic wall anchors, #6 screws approx 1 1/4" long, caulking gun, clear mildew resistance caulk
Pre drill the u-channels. Using 3/16" drill bit approx 4" from each end and in the middle.
Place the bottom track where you want it (usually centered)on the curb and push it against the wall. Mark your holes and drill 3/16" hole into the curb using a 3/16" masonry drill bit .use 3/16" plastic anchors and # 6 screws about 1 1/4" long ..stainless or galvanized. Repeat for vertical u-channel placing on top of the bottom u-channel and leveling it on the wall.
The glass panel is first:
Insert (2) 1/4" clear setting blocks into the bottom u-channel. Place the blocks about 3" from each end. (don't place on top of screw heads)
Stack 2 wood shims and place at the end of the u-channel on top of the curb .this will protect the glass if you hit the curb when you are laying it into the u-channel.
After you lay it into the bottom track ,gently slide it into the side u-channel and for now, push it all the way back in the pocket..
The door:
Install hinges on door keeping a gasket on each side.back plate of hinge should be approx 1/8 away from the glass. You want to hand tighten the screws very very firmly. Never use a screw gun.
Take the wood shims and place two "stacks of two "on the threshold. Point them in the same direction. This will make it easier to make the door move up and down by pushing in or pulling out the stack of shims.
You want to keep the door approx 3/8" - 1/2" above the threshold so that the bottom sweep can work properly. Match the panel ht to the door ht (stack other thicknesses of setting blocks on top of the 1/4 "setting block in the u-channel to help adjust height if needed).
The hinges should lay against the wall flat. Using a level, see that the closing edge of the door is plumb. If not, you may need to adjust the hinges within the hinge cutout .
Installing handle. Seperate handle by loosening the set screw. Remove the screw inside and insert through the glass into half of the handle using plastic washers and sleeves. Slip on the other half of the handle tighten the set screw. (never lift the door by the handle).
Take cardboard and cover the side of the hinge so the drill body does not scuff the hinge.
Place the door into the opening on top of the threshold being very careful not to touch glass to tile, threshold or other glass. This usually will take two people
Use a hammer drill with your 3/16" masonry bit and drill through the hinge holes into the tile .
Screw in the hinge screws. If you do not get into wood, use a plastic shield 3/16" min.
Carefully, slide the panel out of the pocket and close the gap between the panel and the door to about 3/16". This space will allow room for the strike seal.
Tip:use wood shims between the door and panel to prevent them from striking each other .
Cut the strike seal to full height from curb to height of glass panel and then push onto panel.cut the bottom sweep to width of door and notch around strike jamb as needed to let the door close.
silicone the glass to u-channel and then the u-channel to wall on the inside and outside with a small bead of mildew resistant clear silicone
We recommend a glass sealer that helps to keep the water stains off your glass and reduces maintenance.

Free Masonry and Round Table... What are they?
Some real answers please?
The Round Table was a legendary group of knights under the leadership of King Arthur. They were very likely a myth.

Free Masonry goes back to the Knights Templer, not the Round Table:
