Framing nailer - suggestions?
I want to buy a framing nailer, but don't want to spend a lot.
Something used - or refurb would be good.
What is a good brand to look for on ebay or craigslist?
Also, what is the deal with the degrees (21deg. 34degrees etc.)
I thought these pounded nails straight into the studs, but if they do so at an angle, is it to form a better bond? I assume You would pop 2 nails into the top plate and they would penetrate the stud like so: / to grip the stud better .
If this is the case, which degree is best for light framing?
Bostitch or Porter-Cable. I've got a P-C and it has worked great for years.
The degrees is the amount of angle that the nails are fed into the driver (where they get shot out of). The higher the angle, the better the gun can get into tight or awkward places.
A gun with a zero degree feed would form a right angle between the nail clip and the piston (driver). Get it ?
