Adhesive Compounds for watch makers

Adhesive compounds are used for sticking operations in watch repair and service. There are many adhesive compounds and applicators available in the market for the professional or hobby watch makers.

A&F Minad UV Curing Mineral Glass adhesive is a UV curing cement to be used with a UV lamp. This adhesive is fast setting and has a 2 ml syringe; it can be used on all types of mineral glasses. There are Dial Sticking strips in different sizes which are two sided self adhesives used for watch dials. They come in a standard size of 2 mm * 12mm and as a set of 100 or 1000 strips. These adhesive pads are also available as spots and are easily removable after use.

Watch makers have to protect their fingers while working with watches. For this, latex finger cots and protectors can be used. They typically come in four standard sizes to suit all sizes. These protectors protect during valeting, applying oils, mixing cleaning solutions etc and also help to keep fingers clean. These cots have anti static properties and are tough. They are pink in colour, have textured tips to afford more sensitivity and are powder free. To fit easily, they can be rolled with the rim. Loctite Low Strength screw lock adhesive is a thread lock adhesive substance; it prevents loosening of parts due to vibrations. It comes in a 10 ml bottle with a long nose spout and a screw top for easy application and storage. This adhesive can also be used to seal against leakage and corrosion. It sets in 6 hours and exhibits functional strength after that. This adhesive has a wide operating temperature range from -55 c to 150 c. There is a nutlock adhesive in this type which is stronger.

The Poly Watch glass polish is a scratch removal paste and can be used effectively on acrylic watch glasses. Plastic watch crystals are apt to get scratched easily and because of this, the visibility is reduced along with the watch looks getting spoilt. It is very difficult to replace the crystal because plastic watches generally have sealed cases. But it is easy to smooth out these scratches using the poly watch paste. When it is applied to the watch crystal with a cotton wool at the right pressure, it dissolves a tiny fraction of the top layer of the plastic; this plastic fills in the scratches thus smoothing them over. Even deep scratches can be removed by repeated application. A 5 ml bottle lasts for ten applications. With this solution, it is possible to keep watches with plastic watch crystals as good as new. Vitabond UV watch glass adhesive is used in glass bonding during watch repair. It is safe on stained glass, crystal glass etc. To remove superglue from all kinds of surfaces, the Superglue debonder can be used. It allows watch makers to easily remove joints and sticky label residues.

If a compound consist of 2 identical atoms, will it also considered an element?

N2 for example.

Im having trouble with the definitions of: pure substance / element / compound. So what is the exact difference between them?
DONT copy paste the definition - I really want to understand this.

Your answer is yes, but it's not quite that simple.

Some elements exist as two or more forms in nature. These forms are both pure element but they can have very different physical and chemical properties.

Oxygen is one such example. It exists in the allotropic forms of oxygen (O2) and ozone (O3).

Carbon is another. It exists in the allotropic forms of diamond and graphite plus other allotropic forms like buckyballs, linear acetylenic carbon and many others. All of these are pure carbon and so are "elements."

Sulfur has allotropic forms also.

So I would say that if an elemental analysis of a material shows only one type of atom, it is an element. But an element may have several very different allotropic forms.
