Italian food has turned into one of the favorites in the family. Many of us have, regrettably, not inspired the possibility of making an Italian cuisine part of our family menu as it is viewed that Italian recipes are too complex. But it doesn't need much study to make great Italian connoisseur food at home.
Some of the ingredients that Italian cuisines are known for are : meats, cheese and grains that are used as a combination in the creation or making of these distinguished flavours that are respected and accepted all around the globe. Undertaking to find out about these ingredients and how they are used and in what measurements.
The origins of Italian gastronome flavors, foods, and traditions are rooted in simplicity and natural availability. Italian cooks have always exploited the plants that grew where they lived and the animal products from the animals that flourished where they lived. Nowadays in the land of pre-processed foods that are available year-round, that may be considered'gourmet'.
If there is a person in your life that is a fan of Italy and pines for a little taste of traditional Italian flavors in an Italian meal, there are methods to impress even if you haven't set foot in Italy yourself.
the initial focus to please your fan of Italian cuisine is to figure out what part of Italy they like best. Italy is made up of a few regions, each with its own farming and customs.
Therefore , they are more likely to use polenta or Arborio rice ( risotto ) than pasta in their meals. Meat is more abundant in the regions in the middle of Italy, for example Tuscany and Umbria.
Learning which food types are characteristic of the city that your Italy fan loves, is a big step toward making a noteworthy Italian meal experience.
If your Italy fan is far away, or if she or he has more fun making their own Italian meals, an Italian gift hamper is an especially thoughtful gift. a tiny bit of study to find out the part of Italy that your beloved one is missing is the ticket to re-creating the wizardry that they crave. Congratulations and brava to all of you who would like to create the authentic Italian experience for the Italy fans in your life.

Prime and Paint a New Solid pine door?
I am a bit hesitant to work on this unpainted pine door. I have painted pine in the past and what I thought was a smooth surface...burred up. Any sugestions on preventing this? Anyone had a similar experience?
Here's the trick to getting this doors paint finish to be Architectural Grade:
1. apply 2 coats of a water based sanding sealer to the bare wood door. The water based type of this sealer will have no effect on future types of paints applied, water or oil.
2. sand the door after the sealer is dry with 220 grit paper. Now, don't oversand, just cut the door down to where it is smooth like glass. I sometimes vacuum and clean the door and apply a third coat of sealer if necessary and resand again.
3. thoroughly clean the door of dust and debris by blowing it down with compressed air or if that's not available use a shop vac with the bristled attachment. Follow through with tack cloth(s) and wipe the door down.
4. I always prime and paint trim, casework and doors with an oil base paint. Yes, I now it's harder to work with . . . that is until you learn the do's and don'ts. . . but using such paint will give you the best and most durable finish available; not to mention the fact that down the road, when this door needs to be touched up or repainted you can sand with the 220 grit paper and touch it up or repaint, getting back that same perfect painted look. You can't do this with Latex/Acrylic paints and in my opinion these coating are for walls, not trim.
Always use a premium quality brush like Purdy and if you take my suggestion on using oil based paints also buy a can of Penetrol to mix in and lightly thin the paint. If you decide to use latex/acrylic buy some Floetrol. These products not only thin the coatings, they condition them so the greatly enhance the flow and spread. If drying time is a concern with using oil base use two capfuls of Japan Drier per quart. This will dramatically increase the drying time of oil based paints.
All of the products I have referenced are readily available in the home centers and most hardware stores.
